Eton Unveils Most Ambitious Project

LISTED Eton Properties Philippines, Inc. (EPPI), a member of the Lucio Tan Group, has launched South Lake Village, the first residential island lots in the country and forms part of the property developer’s most ambitious project, to date, called Eton City in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

South Lake is a masterplanned development covering about 150 hectared, , and features 18 residential islands in a 35-hectare manmade lake. Each island, about one hectare in size, will have eight to 12 residential lots of about 1,000 square meters each.  The lots will be sold at P10,000 to P12,000 per square meter (sq.m.).

President Danilo Ignacio said the 1,000-hectare Eton City will be transformed into a mixed-use development with residential, commercial and retail components.

He declined to talk about the financial aspects of Eton City, saying he does not have the authority to talk about such details.

After the South Lake Village, the company will put up a golf course, followed by other residential segments and commercial components of the development, which will include office buildings and retail shops.

“I believe Sta. Rosa is the next growth area and we want to capitalize on that through Eton City,” Ignacio said.

Last September, EPPI launched its fourth residential condominium project klocated in a property owned by Allied Bank in Legazpi Village, Makati City.

The all-loft Eton Parkview Greenbelt is a 34-story condominium with 230 units.

The project, scheduled for turnover by December 2011, will target working professionals in the Makati business district.

Also, EPPI has started marketing abroad Belton Square, a mixed-use project on Malugay Street near Pasong Tamo in the fringes of the Makati business district.

To be built on a 1-hectare lot, Belton Square will consist of a three-tower condominium development, an office building for business process outsourcing and a hotel.
